The production committee for the sequel film, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, has significantly heightened anticipation by announcing 11 new voice cast members. This substantial addition of talent expands the narrative scope for the second installment in the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway film trilogy. The sequel will focus on the climactic operations led by the protagonist, Hathaway Noa, who is voiced by the returning Kensho Ono.

New Voice Cast Members and Roles

The newly announced actors will primarily portray the crucial crew members aboard the support ship Valiant, which serves as the operational hub for the MAFTY resistance organization. Key roles include Hiroshi Shirokuma as Brinks Wedge, Anna Nagase as Julia Suga, Mahana Yamasaki as Hala Morley, Hinata Satō as Betchy, and Kazuki Kyan as Rod Hein. These performances are essential for depicting the internal dynamics and rising tensions within the resistance as it escalates its campaign against the Earth Federation.

The ensemble cast is further strengthened by Taiki Yamashita, who voices Lowaist Heinrich; Shinya Takahashi as Chartchai Coleman; Noriaki Kanze as Josef Cedi; Shūichi Uchida as Ridorick; Hayato Inomata as Vilantes Suecken; and Taihi Kimura as Drab Liddo. These actors round out the critical supporting personnel for the resistance movement.

Under the direction of Shukou Murase, The Sorcery of Nymph Circe is expected to offer a deeper psychological exploration of Hathaway’s character. The film continues to examine the profound trauma he carries while simultaneously managing MAFTY's most ambitious operation to date: the raid on the Adelaide Conference.

As MAFTY transitions from covert actions to full-scale military engagement, the evolving relationship dynamics gain increased prominence. This is particularly true for the connection between Hathaway and the enigmatic Gigi Andalucia, voiced by Reina Ueda. Gigi's mysterious and uncanny abilities are set to become inextricably linked with Hathaway's personal struggle, forming a key emotional anchor alongside the steady presence of Kenneth Sleg, voiced by Junichi Suwabe.

Production Team Updates

Creative continuity is maintained, though fresh perspectives have been incorporated into the production team. Color key artist Yuichi Kuboki joins veteran Takako Suzuki to refine the film’s visual ambiance. Furthermore, display design contributions come from Yoshinori Sayama, leveraging his extensive experience from iconic works such as Macross Plus and Cowboy Bebop. The visual quality is further assured by Yoshihisa Ōyama, serving as the compositing director of photography, working alongside visual effects director Manabu Kamitōno to deliver the high-caliber cinematic spectacle expected from the Gundam franchise.

Although the movie was initially slated for a 2025 debut, its release has been strategically shifted to January 30, 2026. This extended timeline ensures meticulous refinement across all production aspects, from voice acting to complex visual effects, before the film opens in 365 theaters across Japan. Global fans can anticipate theatrical runs in North America shortly after the Japanese premiere, guaranteeing the continuation of the gripping Hathaway saga on cinema screens worldwide.
