Whoever Steals This Book Film Adds Four More Cast Members, Shares Theme Song Video

The anime film adaptation of Nowaki Fukamidori's fantasy novel, Whoever Steals This Book, has confirmed four new cast members and released a music video ahead of its Japanese premiere on December 26. The official website updated late Friday with the final additions to the extensive voice cast roster for the magical adventure feature.
Inori Minase joins the film as Mifuyu's late mother, Kazune Mikura. Veteran Akio Ōtsuka is set to voice the coffeehouse owner, while Shun Horie handles the voice for the unique character "Tori no Negima," described as a chicken and onion skewer. Masaya Matsukaze rounds out the new announcements as a coffeehouse regular.
The film also released promotional videos showcasing the theme song "Share," performed by Yuki, formerly of the band Judy and Mary. Trailers continue to highlight the central plot involving the consequences of stealing the titular book.
These actors join a large previously announced lineup. Rin Kataoka and Sora Tamaki are making their debut as the leads, Mifuyu Mikura and Mashiro, respectively. The supporting cast includes Nao Tōyama, Junichi Suwabe, Shizuka Itō, and Shimba Tsuchiya, who voice members of the Mikura family and Keiko Yosano. Further confirmed roles include Shigeru Chiba as Junichirō Kaname, Reina Ueda as Natsume Harada, Tomokazu Seki as Osamu Kikuchida, and Rie Takahashi as Shiori Haruta. Romi Park, Yō Taichi, Makoto Koichi, Yumiri Hanamori, Hitomi Ueda, Manaka Iwami, and Jun Fukuyama also hold roles in the film.

Daisei Fukuoka is directing the feature. Yasuhiro Nakanishi, known for his scripting work on Kaguya-sama: Love is War, is handling the screenplay. The movie is produced by Kagokan and adapts the KADOKAWA novel, which also inspired a manga illustrated by Kakeru Sora in Young Ace.
