Full Production Staff and Cast Revealed for Highly Anticipated 'Kusunoki's Garden of Gods' Anime Adaptation, Set for April 2026 Debut

The television adaptation of Enju's acclaimed light novel series, Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei, also known as Kusunoki's Garden of Gods, has officially confirmed its production details and broadcast schedule. During a stage event held at the Animate Girls Festival 2025 on November 9, 2025, the production committee announced that the anime is slated to premiere in April 2026, positioning it as a key title for the Spring anime season.
This major announcement was accompanied by the release of the series' inaugural promotional video and a new key visual, generating significant interest among the global anime community.
Production Staff and Studio
The series is being produced by the JUVENAGE studio. Directing the adaptation is Sekijuu Sekino, recognized for his directorial work on titles such as Goblin Slayer II, Dorohedoro, and Asteroid in Love. Sekino will be supported by assistant director Ryō Yamauchi, an industry veteran who previously served as an animation director on prestigious productions including Vinland Saga and My Master Has No Tail.
Veteran writer Yūji Kobayashi, known for handling the series composition for the first three seasons of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, is responsible for guiding the narrative structure. The visual design of the characters, encompassing both gods and onmyouji, is a collaborative effort between Yūko Inoue (Inazuma Eleven, Dark Gathering) and Chikako Noma (I Parry Everything).
Further technical roles include Art Director Ken Naitō and Color Designer Azusa Sasaki. The musical score, intended to enhance the supernatural atmosphere, is entrusted to composer R.O.N, whose previous work includes FLCL Alternative and Ninja Kamui. Key technical staff also features Anna Tomizaki as Director of Photography, Hiromi Kikuta overseeing Sound Direction, and Kentarou Tsubone handling the editing process.
Synopsis and Voice Cast
The story focuses on Minato Kusunoki, a highly skilled onmyouji. Minato effortlessly cleanses a dilapidated countryside home of malicious spirits. However, this success unintentionally transforms the now-serene location into a powerful beacon, attracting various deities. The series blends supernatural action with slice-of-life elements, exploring how both ancient gods and modern onmyouji practitioners are drawn to Minato’s extraordinary spiritual power.
Leading the voice ensemble is Sakana Shougo as the protagonist, Minato Kusunoki. The divine supporting cast includes Fuji Shinshuu as Yamagami, KotoBuki Minako as Torika, Tokudome Shinnosuke as Seri, Koichi Makoto as Utsugi, Umehara Yuuichirou as Saiga Harima, Nakajima Yoshiki as Fujin, and Kobayashi Daiki as Raijin.

Source Material Status
Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei originated as a web novel serialized on Shousetsuka ni Narou starting in April 2021. The franchise received official publication through KADOKAWA under the Dengeki no Shin Bungei label beginning in November 2021, featuring illustrations by ox. The light novel series continues its strong momentum, with the eleventh volume scheduled for release on November 17, 2025.
