Konami has confirmed two massive additions coming to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game (OCG) in February 2025, marking the game's 25th anniversary. The celebration introduces the first-ever 'Overframe' full art card design and the ultra-exclusive, serialized 'Grandmaster Rares.'

The Grandmaster Rares will be instant collector items, limited to just 100 individually serialized copies per card. The new Overframe design is a major visual shift, featuring illustrations that break the traditional card borders, creating a 3D pop effect sought after by players.

These new rarities will appear across two collections. The 'Limit Over Collection HEROES' set focuses on staple protagonist monsters, revealing reimaginings of King's Servant – Dark Magician, Stardust Dragon – Victim Sanctuary, Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman, Number 39: Utopia as Messenger of Light, and Decode Talker Integration.

Rivals are featured in 'THE RIVALS,' which includes White Phantom Beast – Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Red Dragon Quetzalcoatl, and the Final Attack variant of Cyber End Dragon. This release is also significant for finally bringing several anime-only cards, such as Gatling Ogre and Infernity Death Gunman, to the OCG format.

Beyond the high-end pulls, both collections will mix in reprints useful for current competitive play alongside lighter pulls like chibi 'deformed' arts. Konami also confirmed mechanical updates, including tweaks to Dark Magician to enhance spell support and new effects for Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon that benefit Cyberse strategies.

The new collections are set to hit shelves on February 22, 2025.
