Two More Voice Actors Join 'Cute Girl in Hero's Party' Anime Cast; Christmas Visual Revealed

The upcoming anime adaptation of Suisei’s light novel, There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her, has confirmed two additional supporting cast members and revealed a new musical theme ahead of its January premiere.

Voice actresses Momo Sakurai and Aimi Ozawa join the cast as Shike and Misaki, respectively. The official site confirmed their roles alongside the main cast led by Kōhei Amasaki and Kana Hanazawa.

The series also announced a special ending theme, “YES! Summer Love.” This track will be performed by Sakurai, Ozawa, and fellow castmate Iori Noguchi. This special song joins the previously announced opening and ending themes by Yoshino and Hiyori Omiya. A new Christmas visual was also released as part of this final promotional push.

The TV series is set to begin airing on January 6 at 11:00 p.m. JST. It will broadcast across Tokyo MX, HBC, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, AT-X, and BS11. Crunchyroll will stream the show internationally outside of Asia, including in India, at the time of reporting.

Production details confirm Yasutaka Yamamoto is serving as chief director, with Tomonori Mine directing the series at studio Gekkō. Yukie Sugawara is handling series scripts. Mina Ōsawa is adapting La-na’s original character designs for the screen.

The full announced main cast includes Amasaki (Yōki), Hanazawa (Cecilia), Ryōhei Kimura (Yūga), Yūko Natsuyoshi (Mikana), Toshiki Masuda (Duke), Minami Tanaka (Seek), Noguchi (Happiness), and Ayumu Murase (Raven). The anime is based on Suisei’s light novel and Kairi’s manga adaptation.
