New Staff Revealed for 'Is the Order a Rabbit?' Movie Adaptation

The new Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? anime project has been officially confirmed as a feature film. The announcement arrived via the official website on Thursday, which also revealed the core staff lineup and dropped a teaser visual for the upcoming movie.

Bibury Animation Studios is handling the production. Hiroyuki Hashimoto, who previously directed Slow Start, is returning to the franchise to serve as chief director. Motoki Tanaka will step up to manage both directing and scriptwriting duties; Tanaka previously worked on Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic.

Munenori Nawa, who has episode credits on Hinamatsuri, joins the team as assistant director. Character design will be managed by Akane Yano, known for her work on Prima Doll. These assignments mark new roles for the key creative team members taking on the Gochiusa film.

This confirmation follows the initial project reveal back in March during the Gochiusa 10th anniversary event, the Rabbit House Talk Party 2025.

The original TV series launched in Spring 2014 from White Fox. Kinema Citrus co-produced the second season, which aired in Fall 2015. The third season, titled Bloom, aired in Fall 2020. The franchise has also produced several OVAs, including Sing For You in 2019. The entire franchise is based on Koi's original 4-koma manga.
