Epic Romance Unveiled: 'The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom' Anime Drops First Teaser
Anticipation is high following the release of the official teaser trailer for The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom. This anime adaptation is scheduled to debut in Japan in January 2026, produced by Studio DEEN and directed by Takayuki Hamana. The series will follow Tiara Rose, a young woman reincarnated as the villainess in an otome game she enjoys. Her predetermined path changes when her engagement to Prince Hartknights of Lapis Lazuli ends, leading to a marriage proposal from Aquasteed, the charismatic crown prince of the neighboring kingdom, Marinforest.

The anime features a notable voice cast. Mai Fuchigami voices Tiara Rose, and Yuichiro Umehara portrays Aquasteed. Yumiri Hanamori is cast as Akari, and Takuya Sato as Prince Hartknights. The creative team includes Yoshimi Narita for series composition and Maziro for character designs, aiming to maintain the aesthetic of the original light novel.
The narrative originated as a web novel by Puni-chan, published on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2016. It later became a light novel series under Enterbrain’s B’s Log Bunko, reaching 14 volumes by late 2023. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Hoshina, has been serialized in B’s Log Comic since 2017.
The franchise also includes a visual novel adaptation, developed by Operahouse. This interactive version was released in March 2024 for Nintendo Switch and Steam, providing an expanded experience within its romantic fantasy setting.

The recently released teaser trailer establishes a compelling atmosphere, increasing anticipation for Tiara Rose's journey beyond the original game's storyline. It highlights themes of unexpected romance, political complexities, and character development within a detailed fantasy environment.
