Anticipation is rising for 'Meikyuu no Shiori,' the upcoming anime film directed by Shoji Kawamori and produced by SANZIGEN studio. The production team has announced its Japanese theatrical release date for January 1, 2026. Further details include an expanded voice cast, key staff appointments, the theme song artist, and a new trailer.

The film's narrative follows Shiori, a high school student who finds herself in a parallel version of Yokohama after an incident involving her smartphone. This story is described as a blend of sci-fi, melodic elements, horror, and romance.

Takuto Teranishi from the J-pop group Timelesz will make his voice acting debut in the film. He will portray Suguru Kagami, a university student and entrepreneur researching neural smartphone connectivity.
