Acclaimed Director Yasuomi Umetsu's 'Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl' Confirms November US Theatrical & English Dub Debut

Anime enthusiasts in the United States are preparing for the theatrical debut of Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl, an original anime film series. Directed by Yasuomi Umetsu, known for his works KITE and MEZZO FORTE, this project marks his return to direction after a ten-year hiatus. The film is produced by SHAFT, an animation studio recognized for its visual style and narrative depth.

The U.S. premiere is scheduled for November 11, 2025, featuring Japanese audio with English subtitles. An English dubbed version will follow on November 13, 2025.

Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl presents a dystopian future populated by advanced mechanical girls and an atmosphere of gunpowder smoke. The narrative focuses on a young woman who works as a bounty hunter. She navigates a world characterized by intricate schemes, political maneuvering, and societal intrigue, relying on her intellect and combat abilities for survival.

The film combines cyberpunk aesthetics with action and science fiction elements. It explores themes such as identity, control, and rebellion within a technologically advanced yet morally complex society.

The voice cast includes Saki Miyashita, Katsuyuki Konishi, and Taku Yashiro for the Japanese version. The English dub features Xanthe Huynh, David Cooley, and Daman Mills.
