Zuino and Kei Keiyama's library workplace comedy manga, Zeikin de Katta Hon, is set for both a TV anime and a live-action drama series.
The live-action adaptation will premiere on NHK General TV in summer 2026. It is scheduled to air weekly from 10:45 to 11:00 p.m. Daiken Okudaira will star as Ishidaira, the delinquent protagonist.
Tomoki Sakanashi is directing the live-action series, with Riko Sakaguchi handling the scripts. Kei Yoshikawa is composing the music. Saki Kawada serves as producer, joined by executive producers Setsuko Uchimaru and Ritsutoki Kumano.

Details for the TV anime are currently limited. A premiere date, staff list, and cast information have not yet been revealed, though an announcement visual was released alongside the news.
Zeikin de Katta Hon, which translates to Books Bought with Tax, centers on Ishidaira. He takes a part-time job at a library to pay off a fine from an overdue book he checked out in elementary school. He teams up with veteran staff members Hayasemaru and Shirai to handle damaged materials and various library-related issues.
The manga launched digitally on Kodansha's Young Magazine Web in August 2021 before moving to Weekly Young Magazine. Its 18th collected volume shipped on February 6th.
The series earned a nomination for the 2022 Takao Saito Award and appeared on Da Vinci’s Book of the Year lists for both 2022 and 2023. It also featured on the Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics list.
