Kamio Fukuchi’s romantic comedy manga, Yowayowa Sensei, dropped its first teaser trailer this week, confirming the TV anime adaptation is set to premiere in April 2026. The promotional video went live on the official website and social media, giving fans the first look at the core dynamic of the series.
The short clip immediately established the premise: Hiyori Hiwamura, a teacher known for her fearsome reputation, secretly struggles with extreme fragility. Her student, Akihito Abikura, is the only one who notices this weakness. The trailer included Japanese dialogue and glimpses of her daily struggles, hinting at the expected romantic comedy elements.
The main cast was previously announced, featuring Marika Kōno as Hiyori and Kakeru Hatano as Akihito. Four additional voice actors have now been confirmed for supporting roles.
Yurie Igoma joins the cast as Mizuki Mukubayashi, Hiyori’s childhood friend and a top student. Yū Sasahara will voice Yūki Yukishita, a classmate who frequently skips class. Yūko Natsuyoshi is cast as Kaya Kuguri, and Mai Nakahara will play Akemi Abikura, Akihito’s older sister who works as a nurse.

Animation production is being handled by Brain's Base. Hiroshi Ishiodori is directing the series. Naoki Aisaka is responsible for character designs, while Yoshifumi Fukushima is managing the series scripting. Akifumi Tada and Rina Tayama are composing the music.
Fukuchi launched the series in Weekly Shōnen Magazine back in November 2022. Kodansha released Volume 15 last November, with Volume 16 scheduled for release on February 17. This trailer release follows an earlier teaser visual, continuing the promotional push toward the spring 2026 launch.
