Fans got a new look at the upcoming Witch Hat Atelier anime this week. A fresh sneak peek clip premiered during IGN Fan Fest 2026, offering a glimpse into its magical world.
Shared on Crunchyroll's YouTube channel, the short preview focuses on a charmingly disastrous spellcasting attempt. A young girl excitedly chants, "Sheets, become a flying mantle!" The fabric fails spectacularly, flapping everywhere as surprised voices react off-screen to the commotion.
This latest footage follows the official trailer released in February, which confirmed key production details. Ayumu Watanabe directs the series, with Kairi Unabara handling character designs. Studio BUG FILMS is in charge of animation work.

The voice cast includes Hibiku Yamamura as Agott, Kurumi Haruki as Tetia, and Yuichi Nakamura as Olruggio. Musically, Yorushika's Eve performs the opening theme, "Kaze no Anthem," and Nakamura Hak handles the ending track, "Tada Utsukushī Noroi."
The series is set to stream on Crunchyroll starting in April 2026. Prior to this, select U.S. theaters will host early screenings in March, with tickets already available. This signals a significant push for the Spring anime season.
The adaptation is based on Kamome Shirahama's Kodansha manga. It chronicles Coco's journey to become a witch after uncovering a secret that should remain hidden. Early reactions to the footage have focused heavily on the painterly visuals, which seem to capture the detailed aesthetic of Shirahama's original artwork.
