Veteran Voice Actors Join 'Plus-sized Misadventures in Love!' Anime as Protagonist's Parents

The highly anticipated television anime adaptation of Mamakari's heartwarming romantic comedy manga, 'Debu to Love to Ayamachi to!' (internationally known as 'Plus-sized Misadventures in Love!'), has just unveiled an exciting expansion to its already stellar cast. Premiering on October 6, 2025, across major networks including Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS Fuji, the series is captivating audiences with its unique blend of humor and emotional depth.
The latest announcement confirms that celebrated voice actors Akeno Watanabe and Yasuhiro Kikuchi, renowned for their impactful roles in fan-favorite series such as 'Boku no Hero Academia' and 'Dr. Stone', are set to portray the pivotal roles of protagonist Yumeko Kōda's mother and father, respectively.
