TV Anime Adaptation of 'Amayo no Tsuki' Reveals Key Production Staff and Teaser Art

REMOW officially launched the website for the TV anime adaptation of Kuzushiro's manga, Amayo no Tsuki (The Moon on a Rainy Night), confirming the core production team this week. This reveal solidifies the project, which was first announced in November 2024, and provides fans with the crucial staff lineup.

Director Tomoe Makino, who previously helmed Aharen-san wa Hakarenai, is leading the project at studio CompTown. Handling series composition and scripting duties is Shogo Yasukawa, known for his work on Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma. Character designs are being managed by Ayumi Nishibata (Otherside Picnic).

The announcement also included a teaser visual. Author Kuzushiro provided a special collaboration illustration linking Amayo no Tsuki to her recently concluded anime, Egao no Taenai Shokuba desu. She shared her appreciation for the adaptation team, specifically noting the care put into translating the manga's character expressions and backgrounds.

The original manga began serialization on Kodansha's Comic Days in June 2021. While the anime premiere date remains unannounced, the manga continues its run with Kodansha releasing Volume 10 on September 19. Volume 11 is scheduled for January 20, 2026. Kodansha USA has licensed the series for English readers, releasing Volume 8 digitally on December 23.

The story follows high school girls dealing with internal anxieties and the inherent difficulties of achieving genuine communication.
