Kadokawa has officially confirmed that the second season of Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs is set for a TV premiere in 2026. The announcement arrived alongside the debut of the first teaser visual, locking in the return of the core voice cast and key production staff from the first season.
Production continuity is clearly the goal here. The same director and studio that handled the initial adaptation of Yomu Mishima's light novels are returning for the sequel. While a full staff breakdown has not surfaced yet, keeping the team consistent usually means a smoother transition for fans.
The main cast is confirmed to be back. Takeo Ōtsuka returns as Leon, alongside Kana Ichinose as Olivia and Fairouz Ai voicing Angelica. Ayane Sakura is also back as Marie. The new visual focuses on these main characters and the supporting lineup.

The supporting voice cast remains solid: Akira Ishida as Luxion, Kenichi Suzumura as Julius, Kōsuke Toriumi as Jilk, Shinnosuke Tachibana as Brad, Kōji Yusa as Chris, and Nobuyuki Hiyama as Greg.
For context, Season 1 aired back in 2022. It introduced us to Leon, an office worker suddenly transported into the world of a harsh otome game. He attempts to ditch the main plot to pursue a quiet farming life, only to be dragged into mecha battles and romantic entanglements instead. Specific trailers and exact broadcast dates are pending as the series moves toward its 2026 air date.
