
The popular Korean webtoon Tomb Raider King is officially set for a television anime adaptation, confirmed to premiere in July 2026. The series will be animated by Korean animation house Studio EEK and is scheduled to air in Japan on Fuji TV and Kansai TV, featuring a full Japanese voice cast.
The announcement arrived alongside the release of the first trailer and a teaser visual for the adaptation.
Seung Wook Woo is directing the series and handling the scripts. The main Japanese voice cast was also revealed: Yoshimasa Hosoya will voice the protagonist, Ryouga Gouriki (based on Jooheon Suh). Saori Hayami is cast as Irene Holton, and Junichi Suwabe will play Taisei Ougawara.
Further production details confirm Hyun Joung Lee is handling character design and animation direction, with Hyung Jun Heo serving as chief animation director. Ju Young Kim is composing the music score. Girl group QWER will perform the opening theme song, titled "SHOWDOWN."

The story centers on Jooheon Suh, a tomb raider who is betrayed by his employer and left for dead. He wakes up 15 years in the past, gaining a second chance. Using his future knowledge and raiding expertise, he sets out to claim the title of "Tomb Raider King" in a world where mysterious tombs filled with powerful supernatural relics have globally emerged.
Tomb Raider King originated as a web novel by SAN.G. The webtoon adaptation, illustrated by 3B2S with story adaptation by Yuns of REDICE STUDIO, first launched on KakaoPage in June 2019. Yen Press publishes the English print volumes, while Tapas carries the digital chapters.
