TOHO Movies has released the debut trailer for the new original anime short film, Moshi, Kore kara Umareru no Nara. The short is confirmed to be part of the GEMNIBUS vol.2 anthology, which is scheduled for a limited theatrical run in March.
Director Asuka Dokai, who previously worked on Geinin Anime Kantoku, is helming the project. The preview immediately established an ethereal, unsettling tone, dropping viewers into a strange, almost womb-like environment. The central narrative follows twin children searching for their missing mother, guided by mysterious figures.
Singer-songwriter Miu Sakamoto is handling the theme song, titled "Lullaby," with composition by Marihiko Hara. This marks a reunion for the duo, who previously collaborated on the live-action feature Kokuho.
The GEMNIBUS vol.2 anthology will screen at TOHO CINEMAS Hibiya from March 6 through March 12. This second volume follows the first installment, which screened in June 2024.
The anthology includes several other shorts alongside Dokai’s film: Sara Masuda’s Aoi Tori, Riko Murakami’s The Faceless City, and Masaki Nishiyama's Influencer Ghost.
