Titan Manga has released an exclusive preview for Villain Actor Volume 2, giving readers an early look at the story following the major cliffhanger of the first volume. The series centers on Ayumu Mashiro, a former police officer who finds himself saddled with the immense powers of history’s most notorious villain, Zero.
Ayumu is now Public Enemy Number One, manipulated by a mysterious voice pushing him to expose the hypocrisy of established heroes. Volume 2 immediately picks up with Ayumu on the run from heroes determined to take him down. His immense power combined with his ruined public standing means the stakes for the entire city are incredibly high.
Titan Manga is marketing the series as a grounded, raw take on the superhero genre, drawing comparisons to the tone of The Boys. The story focuses heavily on the corruption lurking beneath the surface of costumed crime-fighting, emphasizing that possessing villainous strength does not automatically disqualify someone from being a hero. The new preview hints heavily at further betrayals and intense, high-speed confrontations moving forward.

The manga, written by Mikumo Seto and illustrated by Kentaro Harada, originally ran in Japan in Coamix’s Monthly Comic Zenon from July 2022 to August 2023, concluding with three collected volumes. Titan Manga secured the English license in November 2023. Volume 1 was released on June 25, 2024, and is also available digitally through Crunchyroll Manga.
Villain Actor Volume 2 is set to release on March 31, 2026. It will retail for $12.99 and contains 176 pages of black-and-white art (ISBN: 9781787749603). Pre-orders are currently active across major retailers.
