The Elusive Samurai Season 2 Confirmed for July 2026 Premiere

Fans of The Elusive Samurai now have a definitive date for the sequel. Season 2 of the historical action series is officially set to premiere in July 2026. This announcement was delivered during a special broadcast, finally locking in a window for the return of the adaptation after the first season concluded last year.
CloverWorks is confirmed to be back on animation duties for the continuation. The studio previously handled the initial 12-episode run, which aired during the Summer 2024 season. Music for the first season was provided by Dish and Botchi Boromaru.

The greenlight for Season 2 was first confirmed back in October 2024, shortly following the broadcast of the finale. The anime adapts Yusei Matsui's acclaimed manga, which previously earned the Shogakukan Manga Award in the shōnen category.
Aniplex of America managed the international streaming via Crunchyroll, which also launched an English dub in August 2024. The Blu-ray release for the first season is scheduled for August 2025. Muse Communication holds the Southeast Asian distribution rights.
At the time of reporting, the broadcast offered no immediate updates regarding new staff members, cast additions, or teaser visuals. The July 2026 slot firmly places the series within the summer anime programming block.
The core narrative follows Hōjō Tokiyuki, the last survivor of his clan after Ashikaga Takauji’s betrayal, as he plots his revenge while navigating 14th-century Japan.
