The TV anime adaptation of THE DARWIN INCIDENT has released a new promotional video, officially ramping up promotion for its next major storyline. The new PV specifically teases the 'Red Pill Shooting Incident' arc, which is set to begin with episode 6, airing on February 10.
This new development follows the dramatic fifth episode, which aired February 3, showing high schooler Gale turning violent in the schoolyard while brandishing his ALA placard to push animal rights. The newly released PV is packed with clips from episode 6 onward, highlighting the immediate escalation of the conflict.
The trailer features chilling dialogue, including Charlie being told, 'You're the only one who can wake him. Red Pill Gary,' alongside the line, 'Once you swallow the red pill... Force it down. The red pill of awareness.' Gale’s intense reaction to perceived injustice is also featured heavily as he calls to 'deliver justice for them.' All of this builds tension around the animal liberation group ALA's terrorism plot targeting Charlie, the humanzee boy living in rural Missouri who possesses super intelligence and chimp-level strength.

Atsumi Tanezaki voices Charlie, who is shown protecting his family and classmate Lucy Eldred, voiced by Mitsuho Kobe. The key supporting cast includes Akio Otsuka as Rivera Feyerabend, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Gilbert Stein/Bart, and Rina Sato as Hannah Stein.
Naokatsu Tsuda directs the series at Belnox Films. The anime airs Tuesdays on TV Tokyo. It is based on Shun Umezawa's manga, which has been running in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine since 2020. The source material is a major success, having won the Manga Taisho 2022 Grand Prize and selling over 2.2 million copies. The core narrative follows Charlie as he navigates terrorism, online hate, and discrimination in a world increasingly questioning human supremacy.
