That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 is officially set to launch on April 3, 2026. The announcement, delivered via the official TenSura X account, confirmed a massive commitment: the new season will run for five cours total, beginning with two cours airing back-to-back. This extensive run follows the conclusion of the main light novel series last November at 23 volumes.
Viewers in Japan can catch the premiere on NTV’s Friday Anime Night block at 11 p.m. JST. BS11 will follow on April 4 at 10 p.m. Studio 8bit is confirmed to be handling the animation production once again. Miho Okasaki will reprise her role as the voice of Rimuru Tempest.
The narrative for Season 4 is expected to focus on Rimuru’s ongoing efforts to solidify human-monster coexistence within the Jura-Tempest Federation. Conflict is immediate, with threats like Granbell Rosso and his granddaughter Mariabell from the Kingdom of Siltrosso slated to appear early on. Meanwhile, Demon Lord Leon is actively causing trouble in El Dorado, promising major confrontations as these political ambitions collide.
The initial two-cour run covers roughly six months of story material. The remaining three cours are scheduled to air later, though the exact timing split is pending at the time of reporting. Crunchyroll has secured the worldwide streaming rights for the entire upcoming season.
Fans needing more immediate content before the series returns can look forward to the second movie, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea, scheduled for Japanese theaters on February 27, 2026. A side-story novel is also slated for release sometime in 2026.

The anime adapts Fuse’s original web novel, which is illustrated by Mitz Vah and published under Micro Magazine’s GC Novels imprint. Yen Press manages the English novel releases.
