Beloved Otaku Rom-Com Manga 'Tadaima, Ojamasaremasu!' Confirms 2026 TV Anime Debut

The television anime adaptation of Watomura's popular romantic comedy manga, Tadaima, Ojamasaremasu! (also known as Pardon the Intrusion, I'm Home!), has been officially confirmed for a 2026 release. This adaptation represents a significant development for the digital series, which has already achieved over 12 million downloads since its debut. Publisher NTT Solmare announced the news, launching an official anime website and revealing crucial details regarding the main production staff, voice cast, and initial teaser visuals.

This slice-of-life comedy centers on Rinko Nakama, a 24-year-old office professional who maintains a deep, yet private, interest in otaku culture. Rinko's quiet, solitary apartment life is disrupted by her abrasive neighbor from apartment 601, Akito Satsuki. Satsuki frequently interrupts Rinko's anime viewing sessions by banging on the shared walls, establishing a daily routine characterized by unexpected humor and surprising interactions. The series effectively merges the relatability of contemporary otaku life with unique roommate dynamics and the common challenges of adulthood.

Production Details and Key Staff

The production of this highly anticipated narrative is being handled by Tatsunoko Production. Leading the creative team is Itsuki Imazaki, who is responsible for both direction and series composition, aiming to ensure a unified vision for the project. Makoto Takada will contribute to the scripting process.

A notable addition to the team is Shunsuke Kikuchi, recognized for his character design and chief animation direction work on major series such as the Monogatari Series and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. Kikuchi is slated to serve as the chief animation director and character designer for Tadaima, Ojamasaremasu!.

The main characters will be voiced by a stellar cast. The highly popular Kana Hanazawa is cast as the secretive Rinko Nakama, Kaito Ishikawa will voice the disruptive neighbor Akito Satsuki, and Haruki Ishiya is cast as Haruma Usada.

The manga originated in October 2020 on NTT Solmare's Koisuru Soirée digital magazine. The series is now expanding into print editions, with Kadokawa's Enterbrain imprint scheduled to release the first two full-color printed volumes in December 2025. These physical volumes are confirmed to include exclusive bonus stories that were not featured in the digital run.
