Rock band SUPER BEAVER has officially released the music video for their new track, "Sanzen," which serves as the theme song for the compilation film Gintama: Yoshiwara in Flames. The video is now streaming online, coinciding with the film's theatrical run that began on February 13.
The track, whose title roughly translates to "Sparkling," is a high-energy rock song matching the intensity of the fan-favorite Yoshiwara arc. Ryota Yanagisawa handled both the music and lyrics for the song.
This compilation film is a key part of the massive 20th-anniversary push for the Gintama franchise, marking two decades since the manga's 2003 debut. Yoshiwara in Flames pulls episodes 139-146 from the original anime run, but reports confirm it includes new animated sequences and character appearances not present in the initial broadcast arc.
Fans first heard a preview of "Sanzen" back in December during Jump Festa '26, where the main visual and trailer for the film were revealed. The franchise has a history of these anniversary theatrical pushes, including the 4DX screenings for The Final films.
Naoya Ando directed the project, working from a script written by Taku Kishimoto. Character design and chief animation oversight was handled by Shinji Takeuchi at BN Pictures.
