Kyoto Animation has unveiled a striking new key visual for Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1, confirming the film is set for a Japanese theatrical release on April 24, 2026. This movie is positioned as the definitive conclusion to the decade-long franchise based on Ayano Takeda's novels.
The artwork features the entire main cast, showcasing 17 characters, including protagonist Kumiko Oumae and her Kitauji High School bandmates. The visual follows the emotionally charged conclusion of Season 3 last June, suggesting the finale will be suitably epic.
Taichi Ogawa is directing the film, with franchise veteran Tatsuya Ishihara serving as chief director. Jukki Hanada wrote the new scenarios, which are reported to include fresh performance sequences utilizing KyoAni’s signature animation quality.
Key staff returning include Shoko and Kazumi Ikeda on character designs. Akito Matsuda is composing the score, and TRUE will perform the theme song, "ToCoda."
The core voice cast is confirmed to return. Tomoyo Kurosawa reprises her role as Kumiko, joined by Chika Anzai as Reina Kousaka, Ayaka Asai as Hazuki Kato, and Moe Toyota as Sapphire Kawashima.

Haruka Tomatsu is listed as Mayu Kuroe, and Takahiro Sakurai voices Noboru Taki. Shiina Natsukawa also joins the cast as Suzume Kamaya.
Further crew details list Hiroyuki Takahashi on instrument designs, Mutsuo Shinohara handling art direction, and Yota Tsuruoka on sound direction. Progressive! Wind Orchestra is assisting with the musical performances.
This film caps off a run that began with the 2015 TV series, followed by Season 2 in 2016, Season 3 in 2024, and previous films like Our Promise: A Brand New Day (2019) and Ensemble Contest Arc (2023). The film is produced by the Sound! Production Committee 2024 and distributed by Shochiku. Crunchyroll currently streams the existing seasons worldwide.
