Crunchyroll has confirmed a strong slate of romance anime for the upcoming Winter 2026 season, highlighting seven new and returning shows set to begin streaming this month. The lineup spans various relationship dynamics, moving from high school crushes to more complex, mature pairings.
The headliner for the new batch is the TV anime adaptation of Kō Itaya’s manga, You and I Are Polar Opposites. The series centers on the classic opposites-attract setup between the quiet bookworm Hisano and the energetic athlete Shihou. Aina Suzuki has been confirmed to voice Hisano.
Another new entry, The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash, will weave a romantic subplot into its fantasy adventure narrative. Aina Suzuki is also attached to this project, performing the opening theme.
For fans of multilingual flirting, Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian continues to draw attention, following a high schooler named Alya who drops hints to her crush. This series is based on the light novels published by Yen Press.

The sequel front sees the return of More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers. The second season will push Jirou and Akari further into their complicated fake-dating arrangement as it rapidly develops into a real relationship.
The remaining titles round out the season with quirky premises. My Wife Has No Emotion explores a relationship between a man and his emotionless robot spouse, while The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague brings supernatural elements into an office romance setting. Finally, Skip and Loafer tracks straight-A student Podence’s adjustment to the countryside and her developing feelings.
Most of these seven titles are slated to begin streaming on Crunchyroll this week. Animation is being handled by studios including Studio Mother and Doga Kobo.
