The anime adaptation of Atekichi’s light novel, Saikyou no Shokugyou wa Yuusha demo Kenja demo Naku Kanteishi (Kari) Rashii desu yo?, released its first promotional video, confirming key staff appointments and several new voice actors ahead of its 2026 premiere.
Studio Flad is producing the animation, with Makoto Hoshino directing the series. Megumi Shimizu is handling the series composition and scripts. Character designs are credited to Mihoko Ogawa and Yoshie Matsumoto.
The main cast was previously announced, featuring Hisako Kanemoto as protagonist Hibiki Manabe and Shizuka Itou as Emalia. New additions revealed in the PV include Kenta Miyake voicing Claude, LaMalfa Michel Tateyama as Lillian, and Shina Shuto playing Vene.

The series is based on Atekichi’s original web novel, which began serialization in 2016. The light novel series, illustrated by Shigaraki Asahi and published by AlphaPolis, will reach eight volumes by the end of 2025. Mitsuji Takeda’s manga adaptation started in 2017 and currently spans ten volumes.
NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan is producing the television series, which is set to air in April 2026.
The story follows high school student Hibiki, who is unexpectedly transported to a monster-filled world. Instead of receiving a powerful class like Hero or Sage, he is saddled with the seemingly useless 'Appraiser (Provisional)' job. The promotional video hints that his appraisal skills are unexpectedly overpowered, allowing him to overcome impossible odds as he teams up with allies and seeks to understand the mystery behind his transfer.
