Ryon’s popular rom-com manga, Are You a Jirai Girl, Chihara-san?, is officially confirmed for a full TV anime adaptation set to premiere in 2026. Production is already underway for the series, known in Japan as Jirai Nandesuka? Chihara-san.
The announcement included the release of a teaser visual and a short promotional video, giving fans a first look at the character designs and overall tone. The PV specifically confirmed that Sayumi Suzushiro will voice the lead character, Mai Chihara. Full staff and the remaining cast details have not yet been announced at the time of reporting.

The original manga began serialization on Comic Smart’s Ganma! web platform back in June 2021. Ichijinsha has collected the series into seven volumes as of mid-2025.
The story centers on second-year student Kuroki and his classmate Mai Chihara. Chihara is rumored to be a difficult "jirai" type, but she surprisingly reveals a much kinder, more awkward personality when she focuses her attention on him. The anime adaptation will likely lean heavily into this dynamic for its comedy.
The project is currently slated for that 2026 window. We are still waiting on official word regarding broadcast partners and streaming platforms.
