The TV anime adaptation of the Rich Girl Caretaker light novel is officially set to premiere this July. The production team confirmed the summer air date alongside the release of a new teaser trailer and character visual, finally giving fans a substantial look at the Brain's Base adaptation.
The announcement confirmed key cast members. Yuto Uemura will voice Itsuki Tomonari, the financially struggling high schooler who takes on the caretaker role. Konomi Kohara joins the cast as Hinako Konohana, the wealthy student who maintains a perfect public image despite her deeply lazy nature.
Brain's Base is handling the animation production. Shusei Morishita, known for directing Gakuen Babysitters, is taking the director's chair for the series. Character designs are being handled by Takashi Kawashima, who previously worked on Noble Reincarnation.
The narrative centers on Itsuki assuming responsibility for Hinako after a complicated kidnapping incident. This arrangement quickly moves past a simple master-servant dynamic as Hinako develops an intense, almost obsessive attachment to Itsuki. The story explores the contrast between Hinako's flawless public persona and her true self, deepening their connection through Itsuki's growing protective role.

The original property began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro before being published as a light novel by Hobby Japan's HJ Bunko imprint, written by Yusaku Sakaishi and illustrated by Sakura Miwabe. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Sorahiko Mizushima, has been running on Hobby Japan's Comic Fire site since 2021. Monogatari Novels holds the English license for the series.
