Prime Video has officially greenlit the animated adaptation of Rachel Smythe’s massive hit webtoon, Lore Olympus. The announcement came on January 20, 2026, confirming the digital comic is finally heading to streaming as an exclusive adult-animated series.
The show is set to debut globally on the platform in over 240 territories worldwide. While a firm release date is not yet available, the current expectation is that the series will premiere sometime in 2026.
Julia Cooperman will serve as showrunner for the contemporary retelling of Greek mythology. Production is a joint effort involving Amazon MGM Studios, WEBTOON Productions, and The Jim Henson Company.
Lisa Henson, CEO of The Jim Henson Company, confirmed this project marks a significant milestone for the studio, noting it is their first-ever adult animated series. The core goal is to successfully translate the webtoon's world-building and character dynamics to the screen.

The original Lore Olympus webcomic concluded its digital run in June 2024. However, the story continues to develop through print volumes published by Inklore, a Del Rey imprint.
Fans can look forward to Volume 10 on June 2, 2026, followed by the final volume on October 6, 2026. Both upcoming print releases are confirmed to include new, exclusive material.
Details on the actual production are still scarce. Voice casting, the total episode count, and the specific animation style remain key questions for the fanbase at the time of reporting.
