The TV anime adaptation of Ponkotsu Fuuki Iin to Skirt-take ga Futekisetsu na JK no Hanashi has confirmed its broadcast window for April 2026, dropping an initial teaser trailer and a new visual. This adaptation brings Takuma Yokota's popular manga, which centers on a unique high school rivalry, to the screen next spring.
The short preview immediately establishes the core conflict between Tougo Sakuradaimon, the clumsy member of the public morals committee, and Poemu Kohinata, the gyaru student whose skirt length is constantly deemed inappropriate. Their dynamic is quickly set up, showing that despite Tougo's attempts to enforce rules, Poemu often ends up stepping in to help the academically struggling committee member.
Casting details confirm Junya Enoki is voicing Tougo Sakuradaimon. Riko Akechi will take on the role of Poemu Kohinata. Enoki recently appeared in Kanojo mo Kanojo, while Akechi was recently heard in Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsujinai.
Animation duties are being handled by Studio ZERO-G. Daiji Iwanaga is directing the series, following his chief director role on The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window.

Yo Himuro is serving as both character designer and chief animation director for the project. The script team includes Masahiro Yokotani, Takahito Onishi, and Tomoko Konparu.
Music composition is a collaborative effort by Kanki Iwamoto, Hisashi Tenkyu, Takashi Toriyama, and Yoshiaki Kitazume. Supporting staff includes Risa Wakabayashi as art director, Naoyuki Katou as director of photography, and Masahiro Takata handling sound direction.
The series is slated to air on Tokyo MX and BS Asahi beginning in April 2026. The source material, Takuma Yokota's manga, has been running in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius since March 2019 and currently has nineteen digital volumes available as of late 2025.
