'Pardon the Intrusion, I'm Home!' Anime Confirmed for 2026 Debut with Star-Studded Cast and Tatsunoko Production

The highly anticipated screen adaptation of Watomura’s smash-hit romantic comedy, Tadaima, Ojamasaremasu!, known internationally as Pardon the Intrusion, I’m Home!, is officially heading to television screens in 2026. This monumental announcement, delivered on November 25, 2025, confirms that the beloved digital series will receive a full-scale TV anime production. Since its debut in October 2020 on NTT Solmare’s Koisuru Soirée digital magazine, the manga has amassed a massive following, boasting an impressive milestone of over 12 million downloads worldwide.
The narrative centers on Rinko Nakama, a reserved 24-year-old office professional who harbors a secret passion for otaku culture. Rinko cherishes the solitude of her apartment complex until fate intervenes with a bizarre twist. Her quiet life is shattered when inexplicable holes appear, connecting her unit directly to the living spaces of her two enigmatic neighbors, fundamentally transforming her mundane routine into a thrilling and unpredictable cohabitation scenario.
The two men who abruptly enter Rinko’s life are Akito Satsuki, the mysterious, fresh-faced occupant to her left, and Haruma Usada, the intense neighbor to her right, who is noted for his volatile tendencies. Bringing these compelling dynamics to life is a stellar voice cast: the highly acclaimed Kana Hanazawa steps into the shoes of protagonist Rinko Nakama. She is joined by Kaito Ishikawa, voicing Akito Satsuki, and Haruki Ishiya, who embodies the complex character of Haruma Usada.
Lending their expertise to the project is a veteran creative team. Itsuki Imazaki, celebrated for his directorial work on titles such as Hensuki, will not only direct but also oversee series composition and screenplay, working alongside seasoned screenwriter Makoto Takada. Visual development is anchored by Shunsuke Kikuchi, renowned character designer and chief animation director for series including Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. Production duties fall to the legendary animation powerhouse, Tatsunoko Production, ensuring a high-quality visual experience.
Furthermore, fans eager for physical copies can look forward to the series’ transition to print: Kadakawa is set to release the first full-color print volume, complete with exclusive bonus stories, on December 1, 2025, followed closely by the second volume on December 27, 2025. International audiences can currently read the official English translation, Pardon the Intrusion, I'm Home!, available via MangaPlaza. The three captivating teaser visuals released concurrently with the adaptation announcement have already sparked viral discussion and fan speculation across social media platforms.
