The television anime adaptation of Umikaze Minamino’s light novel series, Kyouran Reijou Nia Liston: Byoujaku Reijou ni Tensei shita Kamigoroshi no Bujin no Karei naru Musouroku, has been confirmed. Known in English as Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden, the series is set to premiere in Fall 2026, targeting an October broadcast window.
The story centers on a powerful warrior famous for slaying gods who finds themselves reincarnated into the seemingly frail body of the noblewoman, Nia Liston.
Minamino originally serialized the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website between May 2019 and January 2021. Hobby Japan began publishing the light novels under their HJ Bunko imprint in September 2022, featuring illustrations by Katana Canata.
The property has already demonstrated solid commercial traction, surpassing 400,000 copies in circulation as of April 2024.
Kabuto Kodai handles the manga adaptation, which launched on Square Enix's Manga Up! platform in November 2022. That manga currently runs to seven collected volumes as of September 2025 and is available globally through Manga Up! Global.

J-Novel Club secured the English license for the novels back during Anime NYC 2023.
At the time of reporting, official details regarding the production staff and the animation studio remain undisclosed. This adaptation marks the second major anime push for author Minamino, following the previously announced Kunon the Sorcerer Can See.
