Netflix's 'One Piece' Live-Action Season 3 Casts Awdo Awdo and Daisy Head as Iconic Baroque Works Villains

The highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s monumental manga, One Piece, is dramatically ramping up its cast for Season 3. This signals an aggressive push into one of the most beloved story arcs: Alabasta. Production is currently underway in Cape Town, South Africa, and the latest announcements have electrified the fanbase with the confirmation of two major villain roles.
Awdo Awdo and Daisy Head are officially joining the high-seas adventure, cast as the formidable Baroque Works operatives, Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger, respectively.
Casting the Baroque Works Duo
Awdo Awdo, recognized for his intense performance in Under Siege, steps into the boots of Mr. 1, whose civilian name is Daz Bonez. Bonez is not just any antagonist; he is a master swordsman whose dangerous potential is amplified by the Dice-Dice Devil Fruit, which allows him to transform any part of his body into razor-sharp steel. Known for his cold, stoic demeanor and relentless pursuit of his targets, Mr. 1 represents a significant combat challenge for the Straw Hat Pirates.
Complementing this deadly duo is Daisy Head, celebrated for her work in series like Shadow and Bone, who will embody the cunning Miss Doublefinger. As a key Baroque Works agent, her agile fighting style and mysterious abilities make her a memorable and slippery opponent, crucial to the unfolding drama of the Alabasta saga.

These new cast members integrate seamlessly into the already star-studded ensemble, which features Iñaki Godoy leading the charge as Monkey D. Luffy, alongside Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji).
Season 3 promises to be an extensive adaptation of the desert kingdom storyline, introducing a host of other critical characters, including Cole Escola as Bon Clay, Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, and Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek.
The Netflix series, a joint venture between Shueisha and Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner), has already garnered significant acclaim for its dedication to honoring the source material and its breathtaking production scale. These recent casting decisions further underscore the creative team's commitment to delivering an authentic, high-caliber realization of the One Piece world. As filming progresses, the addition of such iconic, complex antagonists like Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger solidifies fan expectations that the Alabasta saga will be a defining highlight of the upcoming third season.
