The anime adaptation of the massive indie hit NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD is set for its television debut in April 2026. The production confirmed the air date this week while simultaneously dropping a new character visual and a theatrical preview trailer.
The new visual focuses on protagonist Ame-chan but also introduced three new characters forming the Karamasov unit. These new cast members include Purple Lollipop, voiced by Rina Kawaguchi, Michika Gokubara, voiced by Satsuki Shiina, and Nechika-sama, voiced by Seena Hoshiki.
Fans will get an early look at the adaptation before the main broadcast. A compiled version of the initial episodes, titled Needy Girl Overdose -Overture-, is scheduled to screen in Japanese theaters on March 6. The limited theatrical run will take place at Theatre Shinjuku in Tokyo and Theater Umeda in Osaka.

Yostar Pictures is handling the animation for the series. The anime adapts the 2022 game, which has already sold over 3 million copies across Steam, Switch, PS4, and PS5. The original creator, nyalra, confirmed that the three Karamasov members were specifically added for the anime format to ensure Ame stands out even more in the new adaptation.
The title is already a multimedia force, with its soundtrack alone clocking over 400 million streams globally. The core story follows Ame, who is desperate for validation as she attempts to become the top streamer, with the player taking on the role of her producer, known only as "P."
