Milet Drops Full Music Video for "The Story of Us," Frieren Season 2 Ending Theme

Singer milet has released the complete music video for "The Story of Us," the ending theme for Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2. The track, which first hit streaming platforms back on January 16, provides the musical backdrop for the continuing story of the elven mage Frieren.

The video itself was directed by QQQ (NOBODCR), with Koretaka Kamiike handling cinematography. It features actors Lota Dvořáková and Juliana Langeserová, utilizing dramatic drone footage filmed across rugged terrain and scenes involving carriages.

Evan Call, who also scores the anime, arranged the song. The arrangement successfully blends milet's vocals with a rich instrumental backing that includes banjo, mandolin, violin, and cello, performed by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra.

Yoichiro Nomura played bass and acoustic guitar on the track, while MASAKI HORI handled the drums and TomoLow managed the mixing.

This marks milet's return to the series after contributing to Season 1. Mrs. GREEN APPLE handles the opening theme, "lulu." Both themes recently surfaced in creditless versions, building anticipation for the MADHOUSE production now overseen by new director Tomoya Kitagawa.

Tomohiro Suzuki is handling series composition, supported by character designers Yuri Fujinaka, Keisuke Kojima, and Maru Takase.

The anime is based on the Weekly Shonen Sunday manga by writer Kanehito Yamada and illustrator Tsukasa Abe, published by Shogakukan. The story centers on Frieren as she confronts human mortality following the defeat of the Demon King. Crunchyroll is handling global streaming of the new episodes.
