Mayonaka Heart Tune Unveils Full Staff Roster, Electrifying Promo, and Soulful Theme Songs Ahead of 2026 Premiere

Anticipation is rising for the anime adaptation of Masakuni Igarashi's manga, Tune In to the Midnight Heart, known in Japan as Mayonaka Heart Tune. New details have been released, confirming the series will debut on January 6, 2026, at 11:00 p.m. JST. It will broadcast on Kansai TV and Fuji TV's newly rebranded 'Ka-Anival!!' programming block. Additionally, BS Asahi will begin airing the series on January 9, ensuring broad accessibility for this romantic comedy set within the showbiz industry.

The narrative of Mayonaka Heart Tune centers on Arisu Yamabuki, a wealthy yet earnest high school student. His primary goal is to discover the true identity of 'Apollo,' a mysterious female livestream broadcaster whose voice has deeply affected him. To pursue this quest, Arisu transfers to a new school and joins its broadcasting club. There, he encounters four ambitious girls, each aspiring to careers in various voice-related professions, setting the stage for a story of discovery, passion, and unexpected connections.

Production Details

Studio Gekkō is producing the adaptation, aiming for a visually engaging and emotionally resonant series. Masayuki Takahashi is directing, with Yukie Sugawara overseeing the series scripts to ensure a cohesive storyline. Character designs are handled by Tomoyuki Shitaya, bringing Igarashi's characters to life. The supporting staff includes Minori Homura for sub-character design, Azusa Sasaki for color palette, Masakazu Miyake as art director, and Yukiko Uegaki for art design. Tsutomu Nomoto manages 3DCG work, Ami Hayashi oversees layout, and editing is a collaborative effort between Ayako Tan and qooop. Yumeta Company provides 2D design and UI expertise.

Voice Cast

The main voice cast includes Momoko Seto as Rikka Inohana, Rumi Ōkubo as Nene Himekawa, Sayumi Suzushiro as Iko Kirino, and Miku Itō as Shinobu Uzuki. Rikuya Yasuda voices the protagonist, Arisu Yamabuki. The character Lemon Ando is voiced by Kana Hanazawa.

Promotional Video and Theme Songs

A second promotional video has been released, offering a preview of the series and its theme songs. The opening theme, Tsuki ni Mukatte Ute (Attack Toward the Moon), is performed by Suisei Hoshimachi. The ending theme, Koe no Kiseki (Trails of Voices), is performed by Soala.
