Just days ahead of its premiere, the staff for the Mayonaka Heart Tune anime confirmed two additional voice cast members joining the romantic comedy. Yuuki Wakai and Nao Touyama are officially set to join the lineup, voicing Aiko and Ao Momotose, respectively. The announcement was made late Sunday via the anime's official X account.
Wakai, who viewers might recognize from her work on Kakegurui, takes the role of Aiko. Meanwhile, Touyama, recently heard in Kikaijikake no Marie, will voice Ao Momotose.
The series adapts Masakuni Igarashi’s manga, which began serialization in Weekly Shounen Magazine in September 2023. The story centers on high school student Arisu Yamabuki, whose search for the vanished radio host Apollo leads him directly into the school broadcasting club. There, he finds himself surrounded by four girls, each pursuing their own voice-related ambitions.
The previously established main cast features Rikuya Yasuda as Arisu, Momoko Seto as Rikka Inohana, Rumi Okubo as Nene Himekawa, Sayumi Suzushiro as Iko Kirino, Miku Itou as Shinobu Uzuki, and Kana Hanazawa as Lemon Ando.

Animation studio Gekkou is handling production, with Masayuki Takahashi directing the series. Yukie Sugawara is managing the series composition, and Tomoyuki Shitaya is handling character designs. Kuniyuki Takahashi is composing the music score.
Mayonaka Heart Tune, also known by the title Tune In to the Midnight Heart, is set to air starting Tuesday, January 6. It will broadcast at 11 p.m. JST on Kansai TV and Fuji TV's Karnival!! slot, followed by BS Asahi. NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan and INSPION Edge are producing the series.
