Major Voice Talent Joins 'A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation' Anime Ahead of January 2026 Premiere

Anticipation is high for the television anime adaptation of Misaki’s popular light novel series, Odayaka Kizoku no Kyuuka no Susume., internationally known as A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation. The series is scheduled to debut in January 2026 across networks including TV Tokyo and BS TV Tokyo.

Supporting Voice Cast Finalized

Ahead of its premiere, the production committee has announced several key supporting voice actors, significantly enhancing the already established main cast. Veteran seiyuu Kōsuke Toriumi has been cast as Rei, described as an approachable and open-minded middle-aged noble. Joining him is Hiroki Yasumoto, who will voice Shadow, a mysterious character expected to play a crucial role in the narrative. Additionally, Kenji Hamada will lend his voice to Insy, the grandfather of the character Judge.

These talents join the previously announced primary ensemble, which includes Sōma Saitō (Lizel), Yūichirō Umehara (Gil), Tetsuya Kakihara (Eleven), Jun Fukuyama (Studd), and Daiki Yamashita (Judge), promising a rich and comprehensive audio experience.

Creative Team and Production Structure

The creative team overseeing this adaptation is equally robust. Kenta Noda, known for his contributions to Duel Masters and Ascendance of a Bookworm, is directing the series. Animation production is handled by SynergySP in partnership with Ascension. Yōsuke Suzuki is responsible for series composition, ensuring the narrative integrity of the beloved source material. Character designs are managed by Akito Fujiwara, complemented by Kōsuke Yamashita’s musical score. This strong production structure, combined with a newly released visual, suggests a perfect balance between the series' trademark laid-back atmosphere and its underlying adventurous spirit.

The source material, Misaki's popular light novel series, boasts impressive circulation figures exceeding 1.5 million copies. The story presents a unique twist on the Isekai genre: Lizel, an exceptionally sharp chancellor, is suddenly transported to a new realm. Rather than panicking, he views this upheaval as an opportunity for a much needed holiday. He promptly enlists the aid of Gil, a skilled adventurer, to serve as his personal guide and bodyguard. This premise skillfully integrates elements of high fantasy, thrilling adventure, and soothing slice-of-life.

Adding to the franchise’s momentum, the manga adaptation, illustrated by Momochi and published by TO Books, will release its 14th volume in January 2026, coinciding with the anime's launch. Global fans can anticipate widespread availability as Crunchyroll has confirmed international streaming rights. Furthermore, an early screening event is scheduled for Anime Frontier 2025, ensuring the gentle noble’s vacation reaches audiences worldwide.
