
The TV anime adaptation of Susumu Maeya’s gourmet slice-of-life manga, Maid-san wa Taberu dake, just confirmed its premiere window and dropped a significant batch of production details. The series is officially set to air in April 2026 on Tokyo MX, Yomiuri TV, and BS Asahi, with streaming handled by d Anime Store.
A new promotional video released today confirmed two additional supporting cast members and the theme song artists. Shizuka Ishigami will voice Sora Endō, and Hiromi Igarashi joins the roster as Anzu Shingetsu. They join the previously announced main cast of Kana Ichinose as Suzume Tachibana, Chihiro Sunou as Ricotta Fresca, and Maki Kawase as Nana Komatsu.

majiko is performing the opening theme, "Ribbon," while the ending track, "Shiawase Flavor," comes from the group ARCANA PROJECT.
On the production side, Ryousuke Sendo is directing the series, splitting duties between EMT Squared and Magic Bus studios. Natsuko Takahashi and Saeka Fujimoto are collaborating on series composition. Chiaki Abe is handling character design, and Katsutoshi Kitagawa is composing the music score.
For those eager to see it early, an advance screening of the first three episodes is scheduled for February 20 at Animate Theater in Tokyo.
Maeya launched the original manga in December 2019 via Kodansha's Comic Days. Kodansha USA is publishing the digital English version under the title The Food Diary of Miss Maid. The story follows Suzume, a maid living in Japan who finds joy exploring local street food, from taiyaki to takoyaki, alongside her daily duties.
