Yuria Kōzuki was previously confirmed as the titular bird-like Kujima, while Ayumu Murase plays first-year middle schooler Arata Koda.

Production is being handled by Studio Hibari. Noriyuki Nomata is directing the series, with Shinichiro Kimura serving as series director. Yasunori Yamada is writing the scripts, while Sakurako Mitsuhashi is designing the characters. Manami Kakudō is composing the music.
The anime will air across several networks, including Tokyo MX, MBS, BS-TBS, and AT-X. Crunchyroll secured the international streaming rights. Domestic Japanese viewers can catch the series on U-NEXT and Anime Hōdai.
Konno’s original manga ran in Shogakukan’s Gessan magazine from September 2021 until its conclusion in April 2024. The fifth and final collected volume shipped in May 2024.
The story centers on Arata Koda, who encounters the mysterious, food-obsessed Kujima during the autumn. She is a bird-like creature who ends up moving in with the tense Koda household, a situation complicated by Suguru's academic struggles, and stays with them through the winter and into the following spring.
