Kadokawa officially confirmed that KonoSuba Season 4 is in production, dropping the news during the anime's 10th anniversary stream held in mid-January 2026. This formal announcement follows up on the initial tease that occurred back in March 2025, right after the BONUS STAGE OVA episodes wrapped up.
At the time of reporting, no specific release date has been attached to Season 4, signaling the project is likely in the early stages of development. The main voice cast—Jun Fukushima, Sora Amamiya, Rie Takahashi, and Ai Kayano—were present at the anniversary event to mark the franchise milestone.
The Season 4 confirmation was part of a substantial 10th-anniversary lineup. This includes a new game, KonoSuba: Kono Ai Subeki Machi ni Hanei o, which is slated for a 2026 launch on both PC and mobile platforms. Original creator Natsume Akatsuki and artist Kurone Mishima are confirmed to be involved in the game’s development. This marks the franchise’s return to gaming after the global shutdown of KonoSuba: Fantastic Days last January.

Fans can also expect a new original audio drama and a 10th Anniversary SONG BOX compilation. Kadokawa also scheduled double novel releases set for February 28, 2026. For in-person events, a physical 10th Anniversary series gathering is booked for July 26, 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama, with an exhibition also slated for Fall 2026.
Studio Drive, which took over animation duties from Studio DEEN for Season 3 back in April 2024, handled the most recent anime production, though their involvement in Season 4 has not been confirmed.
