The anime adaptation of Kirio Fan Club is set to premiere on April 2, 2026. A new 30-second trailer arrived today, offering fans a first look at the opening theme sequence. This marks the second major preview for the series, following initial cast and staff announcements in December.
SATELIGHT is handling the animation production. Sō Toyama directs the series, having previously worked on projects such as The Apothecary Diaries and Love Live! Sunshine!!. The anime adapts Chikyu no Sakana Ponchan's josei manga. Aya Satsuki is credited with series composition and screenplay, while Nami Hayashi designs the characters.
The story centers on Aimi and Nami, two friends who discover a shared, unrequited crush on Kirio. Their casual discussions about him begin to transform their daily lives in unexpected ways.
Nene Hieda stars as Aimi Miyoshi, with Shion Wakayama voicing Nami Sometani. Gakuto Kajiwara plays Ken Kirio. Supporting cast members, confirmed last year, include Yūya Hirose, Jin Ogasawara, Ayasa Itō, and Fūka Izumi.

The original manga garnered attention, placing tenth on the 2025 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook's top 20 list for female readers. Kodansha USA plans to release the English version starting in spring 2026, coinciding with the anime's debut.
