The Kaguya-sama: Love Is War anime franchise is officially concluding its run with a new theatrical feature titled Kaguya-sama: Love Is War - The Final Chapter. This announcement is significant because the film will feature an entirely fresh, original story written by series creator Aka Akasaka, confirming a divergence from the established manga ending.
A new trailer confirmed the return of the core voice cast. Aoi Koga is set to reprise her role as Kaguya Shinomiya, alongside Makoto Furukawa as Miyuki Shirogane. The supporting cast lineup includes Konomi Kohara as Chika Fujiwara, Ryota Suzuki as Yu Ishigami, Miyu Tomita as Miko Iino, and Yumiri Hanamori returning as Ai Hayasaka.

Akasaka is directly overseeing the production to ensure the movie provides proper closure for the anime adaptation. Teaser footage hinted that the narrative will resolve ongoing character arcs, specifically mentioning Maki’s struggle with her feelings for Tsubasa, Miko’s tenure on the student council, and Chika’s quest for romance.
This final cinematic entry follows the previous film, The First Kiss That Never Ends, which premiered in December 2022. It also comes after the TV special Kaguya-sama: Love Is War - The Stairway to Adulthood, which aired on New Year's Eve 2025. The anime franchise first launched in 2019. The original manga, which began serialization in 2015 under Shueisha, is licensed in English by Viz Media.
