Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Naoya Zenin Stepping Up as Fan-Favorite Suited Sorcerer Following Nanami's Exit

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, officially titled Culling Game Part 1, is set to premiere on January 9, 2026, kicking off with a one-hour special broadcast. The announcement confirmed that the new season will introduce Naoya Zenin, a powerful member of the Zenin clan, who is positioned to fill the void left by Kento Nanami’s devastating departure during the Shibuya Incident arc.
A new promotional video accompanied the release date confirmation and revealed six major new cast members, including veterans Kazuya Nakai and Tomokazu Sugita. Naoya Zenin is a key addition, bringing a polished, tailored aesthetic and an arrogant demeanor that mirrors the professional sorcerer presence Nanami once held.
Naoya utilizes Projection Sorcery, a cursed technique that requires him never to touch the ground and allows him to move at an incredible 24 frames per second. This ensures his inevitable combat sequences will be kinetic spectacles, particularly when he crosses paths with Maki Zenin amidst the ongoing clan tensions.

The upcoming season will cover the manga’s Itadori's Extermination, Perfect Preparation, and the initial stages of the Culling Game arcs. The central conflict involves the remaining sorcerers fighting through Kenjaku's machinations to secure Satoru Gojo's release from the Prison Realm.
Production and Release Details
Shota Goshozono is directing the series. Yosuke Yajima returns to handle character designs. King Gnu is confirmed to handle the opening theme, performing the track Aizo.

For context, a compilation film covering the end of Shibuya and the first two Culling Game episodes premiered theatrically on November 7, 2025. Crunchyroll retains streaming rights for the series in territories outside of Asia.
