Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Hits 150 Million Copies, Solidifying All-Time Sales Rank

The Jujutsu Kaisen franchise confirmed on December 20 that worldwide circulation for Gege Akutami's manga has officially surpassed 150 million copies. This massive figure, which includes digital sales, cements the series' position among the industry's elite, showing sustained global demand even after the main serialization concluded in September 2024.
The sales milestone represents a jump of 50 million volumes sold in just over a year. This growth pushes the dark fantasy story about Yuji Itadori and the world of curses into the ninth spot on the list of best-selling manga ever.
Jujutsu Kaisen has officially overtaken major titles like Attack on Titan (140 million), Bleach (130 million), and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (120 million).
This sustained success is largely fueled by the ongoing anime adaptation. Fans can prepare for Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game Arc Part 1, which is set to premiere on January 8, 2026, adapting the deadly tournament arc orchestrated by Kenjaku.

Beyond the main story, the universe continues to expand in print. A new short-run spin-off, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo (Jujutsu Kaisen ≡), began serialization in September. The first collected volume for the spin-off will drop on January 5, 2026. A publisher representative confirmed that audience interest remains high despite the original manga concluding its six-and-a-half-year run.
The original anime launched in October 2020, followed by the highly successful Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie in late 2021, which earned 26.5 billion yen globally. Season 2 aired across the second half of 2023. With Season 3 arriving next month and new manga content coming, the franchise proves that completed series can maintain serious cultural relevance in today's market.
