The official site for Evil Line Records' I.ADORE project confirmed three additional cast members this past weekend ahead of the short anime's debut later this month.
Kaito Udagawa is set to voice Aiku Kannishi, revealed Friday alongside a character promo video. Hiromu Mineta will play Tōshirō Yanai, announced Saturday. Rounding out the new additions, Tatsumaru Tachibana joins the lineup as Shōta Kafuku, unveiled on Sunday.
These actors join previously announced cast members Kaoru Mitsuhashi as Mekuru Yomino and Masaya Fukunishi as Gakuto Uzuki.
The short series is scheduled to kick off on January 30. New episodes are slated for release every Friday at 12:00 p.m. JST, which corresponds to Thursday at 10:00 p.m. EST. A prologue video for the project streamed earlier on January 16.
I.ADORE centers on idols who use song and dance to battle over political ideologies within their own "Idol Sengoku Jidai," or Idol Warring States Era.
Dazed is handling the intellectual property, with Evil Line Records managing the music production. BALCOLONY is directing the art, and Kunyamon is responsible for the character designs.
This project marks the third major endeavor from Evil Line Records. Their previous successes include the 2017 launch of Hypnosis Mic, which features voice actors rapping as original personas. Hypnosis Mic saw massive traction, including a top Twitter spot in 2018, and has since generated manga, a mobile game, stage plays, live events, and a feature film slated for February 2025. Their 2021 project, Charisma, focuses on divinely gifted characters pursuing large dreams. Charisma currently has music releases, concerts, and a TV anime adaptation in development.
