Hitman Comedy 'Kill Blue' Anime Confirmed for April 2026 Premiere with New Trailer Drop

The TV anime adaptation of Hamada Masasumi’s hitman comedy manga, Kill Blue, is officially set for an April 2026 broadcast. This premiere date was confirmed today alongside the release of a new promotional trailer and key visual during a special event.
The footage provided fans a clear look at the series’ core premise: professional assassin Ji Shihui infiltrating a high school to eliminate his target, Kirishima. The trailer highlighted the blend of intense action sequences and the dark, often absurd humor defining the source material. It specifically emphasized Ji’s almost superhuman capabilities contrasting sharply with the mundane high school setting.
Studio Pierrot is handling the animation production, with Production I.G listed as a co-producer. Director Hideki Takeuchi is helming the project, and Atsushi Maekawa is writing the series composition scripts. Akane Hirota is adapting the character designs, and R.O.N. is composing the music score.

Mamoru Miyano will voice the lead, Ji Shihui, while Kengo Kawanishi plays Kirishima. The supporting voice cast includes major names like Yuichi Nakamura and Rie Takahashi.
The manga, which debuted in 2022 in Jump Square, has maintained strong sales, moving over 1.2 million copies since its debut. Crunchyroll has already confirmed they will be handling the simulcast for regions outside of Asia. More detailed staff announcements and the final episode count are expected to be revealed closer to the new year.
