The long-awaited conclusion to the hunt for the Ainu gold is officially set: Golden Kamuy: The Final Chapter will air starting January 5, 2026. The announcement arrived alongside a fierce key visual showing the complete main cast standing against a backdrop of intense, roaring flames, confirming the tagline: 'The Final Chapter, Grandly Begins.'
The final broadcast run is set to conclude the brutal journey of Saichi Sugimoto and Asirpa as they battle soldiers and criminals across Hokkaido’s unforgiving terrain in search of the hidden treasure.
The series will air every Monday at 11:00 PM JST on TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV, Hokkaido Broadcasting, BS11, and several other networks.
Animation duties for the final chapter remain with Brain's Base. The core production team from season four is returning, ensuring continuity for the concluding arc. Shizutaka Sugahara is back as chief director, with Takumi Yamakawa handling character designs, and Noboru Takagi managing series composition.
The opening theme song is confirmed as a collaboration between Awich and ALI.
Satoru Noda’s original manga ran in Weekly Young Jump from 2014 through 2022, concluding with 31 volumes and moving over 30 million copies in circulation. The series secured major accolades, including the Manga Taisho 2016 award and the 22nd Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize Grand Prize in Manga.

Previous anime seasons aired across 2018-2019, 2020, and 2022-2023, though the fourth season experienced a temporary hiatus. To bridge the gap before the final chapter, a two-part theatrical preview, Golden Kamuy: Sapporo Beer Koujo-hen, screened in Japan in October 2025.
In related news, the live-action adaptation is also moving forward, with the second film, Golden Kamuy: Abashiri Kangoku Shuugeki-hen, scheduled for release on March 13, 2026.
A special New Year's campaign is currently running for Japanese fans, ending January 5 at 10:59 PM JST. Participants posting aspirations on X using the official hashtag #金賀新年ゴールデンカムイ最終章1月5日放送開始 have a chance to randomly receive one of three special images.
