Hiroyuki's Smash Hit 'Girlfriend, Girlfriend' Manga Confirmed for English 2-in-1 Omnibus Release

Fans of high-stakes romantic comedy have received confirmation regarding the English release of a 2-in-1 paperback omnibus edition for Hiroyuki's popular manga series, Girlfriend, Girlfriend (Kanojo mo Kanojo). Kodansha USA officially announced that this highly anticipated collection is scheduled to be available on December 9, 2025.
This release serves as a notable event, coinciding with the one-year anniversary of the Kodansha Print Club initiative. This program is dedicated to transitioning originally digital-first manga titles into physical print editions for collectors and dedicated readers.
The series, which captivated audiences in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine, ran from March 2020 through May 2023, concluding across sixteen tankobon volumes. The narrative centers on high school protagonist Naoya Mukai, who finds himself in a unique, yet chaotic, romantic entanglement. After successfully beginning a relationship with his longtime childhood friend Saki, Naoya is approached by another girl, Nagisa, who also confesses her profound affection. Unable to make a choice between the two, Naoya decides to pursue a concurrent relationship with both women, establishing the foundation for the series' chaotic and comedic harem dynamics.

Beyond its successful manga run, the Girlfriend, Girlfriend universe has also been adapted into a popular anime. The first season premiered in 2021, produced by Tezuka Productions. A second season followed in 2023, helmed by SynergySP. Both seasons achieved international streaming success through Crunchyroll.
The forthcoming omnibus is specifically designed for physical media enthusiasts, offering double the content per volume and promising enhanced shelf presence. Readers will be able to locate the omnibus at major book retailers nationwide, including Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Walmart.
Kodansha Print Club is simultaneously expanding its physical catalog this December with volumes of other diverse series, such as Love, That’s an Understatement, Teppu, and Blade Girl. This omnibus release underscores Kodansha's commitment to meeting the growing demand of English-speaking manga audiences by delivering Hiroyuki’s signature comedic masterpiece in a premium print format.
