Streaming guides have surfaced confirming that Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 is scheduled for a 10-episode run. This news arrives immediately following the premiere of the first episode on Crunchyroll yesterday, giving fans a clear view of the cour-length broadcast schedule.

The premiere episode, titled 'Shall We Go, Then?', went live on Crunchyroll on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. PT. New episodes are set to arrive weekly every Friday. Episode 2 is currently scheduled for January 23 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The current schedule points toward a standard 10-episode broadcast block, though official titles for subsequent episodes have not been revealed at the time of reporting.

The story immediately picks up with Frieren, Fern, and Stark heading north. Their destination is Aureole, which is known as the resting place for souls. They are moving on from the exam city, continuing their quest to understand Himmel's legacy while navigating the increasingly perilous territories. Expect the journey north to introduce more locals who react variedly to Frieren's long history.

Madhouse is confirmed to be handling the animation production once again, ensuring the series maintains its signature pacing and scoring. The main voice cast remains unchanged, featuring Atsumi Tanezaki as Frieren, Kana Ichinose as Fern, and Chiaki Kobayashi as Stark.

The sequel was initially announced in September 2024, complete with key visuals from Seiko Yoshioka, following delays that pushed the launch to January 2026. Crunchyroll is handling streaming outside of Asia.
